A Niche That Defines YOU!

Photography is an oversaturated industry, so it is hard to be different in a world where everyone has a camera in their pocket or a photographer they’ll bring in to do their photoshoots that they’ll trust already.
So how do you define yourself, and why should YOU care?
Well, when deciding to hire a photographer, you need to know that they are the right photographer for you and your business.
You wouldn’t hire a wildlife photographer to photograph food for a restaurant, just as you wouldn’t hire a landscape photographer to photograph portraits and so on..
It is the same with different industries, hospitality vs civil engineering, car vs food photography.
Hiring a photographer that understands your business or your industry, will help produce better results in their photos, which means they will have maximum positive impact on you and your business.
It is the same with people too. Some people understand each other and work well together, others don’t. Find a photographer that understands you and again, you’ll reap the rewards.

So, where do I fit?
What is my niche?
Who can I help?
My background is in retail and customer service from a career standpoint. Working in stores and call centres, looking after people as best I can, making sure they leave the store with what they needed or finish the call having their issue resolved.
It is a ‘people’ job.
It is here where I find my niche. In people.
People who are members of cultures or groups that are considered a minority in the UK. Black, Asian, Muslim, Somali, whichever group you consider yourself to be part of.
I’m here to tell your unique story, to highlight your journey, the barriers you’ve had to overcome to start and run your business and live your daily life in the UK, specifically in Cardiff. The good and bad.

Why this niche?
Over the years, through interacting with probably thousands of people, I’ve found myself more connected and interested in people from different cultures than my own.
That has developed into something that I want to take further and develop more connections with all over the world and combine my new found passion for learning and connecting with other cultures, with my passion for photography.
Do you consider yourself to be part of any of these groups?
If so, chat with me and maybe even do a photoshoot together some day.
